MIXED MARRIAGES.
THE LAW IN CANADA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. Juiie 19, 0.20 a.m.) Ottawa, June 18. The Supreme Court of Canada has <locidetl that the Canadian Parliament has no power to enact legislation of tho character of tho Lancaster Marriage Bill, a measure arising out of the Pope's No Temcrn decree. The decision means that the authority to enact marriage laws rests entirely with the provincial legislatures. The- Court also decided that the law of (Incline does not vender mixed marriages null and void, whether performed by a Roman Catholic priest or a I'rotc.-hiil clergyman.
