LIFE-SAVING AT SEA.
BOARD OP TRADE ASLEEP. By Tclesraph—Press Association—Copyright (Re'c. June 13, 11 p.m.) London, June 13. Official evidence given yesterday at the inquiry into the loss of the Titanic elicited the fact that there had been no change for eighteen years in the Board of Trade's regulations with relation to live-saving appliances. Lord Mersey, president of the inquiry, remarked that the Titanic's owners had provided in excess of the legal requirements, thus proving that they realised that the number of boats set out in the regulations was insufficient.
