LODGE MEETING.
At the fortnightly meeting of tho Excelsior Lodge, (J.A.0.D., A. D. Gauntlett presided, and about one hundred members were present. The receipts at the previous meeting totalled £600, and sick pay, amounting to .£37, ivas passed for payment. The election of officers for the coming term was then proceeded with, Bros. Rogers (Coronation Lodge) and Clark (Pacific) acting as scrutineers. The results are as follow:—J .P. A., Bro. Gauntlett; A.D., Bro. Austin; V.A., Bro. Lepper; secretary, Bro. Jennings; treasurer, Bro. Lord; A. D. Bards, Bros. M'Elwain and Tyson; V.A. Bards, Bros. Tullett and O'Sullivan; 1.G., Bro. Jennings, junior; 0.G., Bro. Salt; auditor, Bro. Bolton; pianist, Bro. Parker; M.S. and press correspondent, Bro. Luff. It was decided to hold a ladies' night on July 3. A hearty vote of thanks was tendered to visitors from the Coronation, Pacific, and Holly Lodges. Bros. Clark (Pacific) and Rogers (Coronation) suitably replied. The new officers are to be installed at the next meeting.
