The Home Secretary, Mr. MXenna, had transferred Mrs. Pankhurst and Mr! and Mrs. Pethick Lawrence, recently sentenced to nine months' imprisonment each for conspiracy in connection with suffragist raids, from the second (o the first division, a condition being that they shall refrain from inciting to illegal acts .while imprisoned.
