WELLINGTON CATHOLIC CLUB.
In St. Patrick's Hall last evening, before a crowded audience, Mr. .T. J. Kullivan delivered a lecture on "Ireland a Nation, and Thomas • Moore.". Mr. ,T. M'Grath, vice-president, presided. The history of Ireland was- graphically traced bv tlie lecturer, and several sketches were given of men prominently connected with the national movement. The fdccmd part of Hie lecture was devoted to a brief resume of Moore's lifo and poetical works. During the evening the following musical items were rendored:—"She is Far From tho Land," Mr. E. .T. Heuly; "Oft in tho Stilly Night," Miss Theobald and Mr. Healy; "The Wearing of the Green," Miss Hannan; "Believe Me, if All Those Endearing Young Charms," Jliss Theobald. Mis-s Dohcrty presided at the piano. On the motion of Mr. M. O'Kane. a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the lecturer for his address.
