The Government Dairy Commissioner, Mr. f'uddic. spenkinsr for himself and on behalf of his assistants, >nid that the competition for prizes in classes for creamery buter was just as keen as- (hat from the cheese -factories. The judges considered that the butter shown this year was .superior to any sent forward at previous shows in Duuedin. Ho meant as a whole. Ho dare say they had had as high points in individual lots, hut the average, points awarded were far above those previously outlined. Anions: the lot's tint had scored hislily they had had considerable difficulty iu- separating the competitors, on account of the similarity in flavour and make.
