MANGARAMARAMA CHEESE.
DECREASE- : IN SEASON'S OUTPUT. Tho average grade for Hie fifteen shipments of cheese from the Mangaramarama Cheese Factory passed • through the grading stores at 'Wellington during the present, season vas 01.7.1 points, the highest grade obtained being 93J points. The manager of the factory,'Mr.'J. Aitchison, expects to close down' the factory for the season about Juno 10. The output for the season will be approximately'7o tons, as against 88 tons for last season., The shortage is accounted for by less suppliers delivering milk this year. The value of the cheese made at the factory this season will be about .£1550. The milk delivered during the past month has been exceptionally rich, the average quantity' required to .make one pound of cheese being 6.971b. of milk. In the beginning of the season the quantity of milk required to make lib/ of'cheese is often between 10 and 111b.
