Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Ltd., report:—At our Vcitding sale on Friday, we had a very good entry of both sheep and rattle, which sold as below:—Sheep: Small lambs, 75.; mixed-age ewes, 12s. Id.; small four-tooth ewes, in lamb, lis. 6d.; aged ewes in lamb, 7s. 5d.; two-tooth wetlii?rs, late shorn, 13s. Id. to Ms. 3d.; good twotooth wethers, 15s. Id. and 15s. 2d. Cattle: Weauer steers, £Z; choice Jersey heifer weanors. £3 55.: forward cows, £4 to £4 75.: fat cows, £5 105. to £6 Is.; dairy cows, £6 to £6 2s. 6d.; springing heifers. £4 ss. Alessrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd. (Levin nr.-inoli) report-.--At Jlr. Lcighton's sale on Friday there was a fair atlondance. The stock wo* rather mixed, but anything that was at all choice sold reallv well. Springing heifers, £7 to £8 155.; heifers, in calf. £5 to £6 7s. 6d.; cows, to calve in spring, £4 10s. to £7 10s.; weancr Holstein heifers, £3 35.; weaner heifers, 34,5.; weaner steers, 275.; forward cows. £3 175.; Jersey bull, £2 155.; Holstein bull. £2 17s. 6d.; fat and forward lambs, 11s. 7d.; draught fillies, £15 to £25; drill. £20. A large assortment of farm implements and sundries sold at good prices.
Messrs. AVilliams and Kettle h.?ld their fortnightly sale in the Jtiller's Eoad yards (Dannevirke)' on Jlay 31. when they offered a fair yarding ol sheep and cattle to the usual attendanc-3 of buyers. Sheep realised prices in favour of the vendors, hut all classes of cattle met with a dragging .sale. Fat owes, lis. 7d.; extra good, 13s. lid.: mixed-sex woolly lambs, 12s. to 12s. 3d.: store ewes, 85.: store cows, £2 lis. to £3 17s. 6d.; .'.pringing heifers, £5 10s.; fat heifers (light). £5 35.; three-year steers. £6 25.; yearling hulls, 375. 6d.; twenty-month steers, £4. The firm report as follows on Mr. J. P. Savage's clearing sale held at the homestead (Ilopelandsl on May 29. Cattle were yarded in excellent condition, but the sheep were not so good. All classes of 6toc,k. however, met with very good competition, and we effected a total clearance, at the following prices:—4CO six-tooth and s.m. ewes, 125.; 169 two and four-tooth ewes, 13s. Bd.: 69 cull lambs, 55.: 300 woolly lambs, 10s. 6d.; 12 lambs, 10s.; 341 two-tooth wethers (small), 12s. 7d.; 9 s.m. Lincoln rams, 275.; 8 f.m. liomney rams, 10s.; 7 yearling steers. £3 195.: 24 four and fiveyear bullocks (good), £8 95.; 23 three-year steers. £6 14?.; 6 heifers in calf, £6 I*. to £5 18s. 6d.; 17 two and a half to three-year steers, £4 155.; draught horses, £14 10s. to £20; hacks. £15 to £8 to £5 ss. Jtochincry and sundries realised satisfactory prices.
