ICEBERG MYSTERY.

Queen Victoria (1G25 tons gross), bound from Tocopilln, Chili, to the United Kingdom, is supposed to have foundered through striking an iceberg. She was seen north-west. of Cape Horn. The crow numbered 24. Beale, tho mate, and Talbert, a member of the crew, were Australians.
The actual figures of shipwrecks due to icebergs can never be known. How great the danger is a hundred narratives of catastrophe .show. A list such as this, which refers only to the North Atlantic, is not without significance—iand the figures have been selected at naphazard out of many.—

July.—Steamship Regnlus put into St. John's, Newfoundland, with bows battered in. , Liner Bonavista put into St. Johns, Newfoundland, with bows battered in.
