The tribes have raised the sacred flag of Zaolia Mula Idrin, taken from a Marabout's tomb. Several hundred Berbers gained an entrance to Fez on Tuesday last, and it 'seemed likely that it would be necessary to defend the streets foot by foot. The populace, however, did not support this attack, which became exhausted. On Wednesday the French took the offensive. Fivo French were killed and eight ed.''A caravan was looted on the Mekinez road.
