OIL LINERS FOR AUSTRALIA.
« , NEW WHITE STAR BOATS. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright London, May 28. Tho new 16,000 ton White Star liners for the Australian trado will uso liquid fuel. Other companies are making similar developments with a view of using the Panama Canal and utilising the Texan and Mexican oilfields. NEW LINE PROPOSED. (Rec. May 29, 11.30 p.m.) Sydney, May 29. A new line of oil-burning cargo steamers is contemplated between the American' Pacific coast ports and Australia. It is proposed that the line shall comprise- eight vessels, the first sailing in October. Mr. J. J. Moore, of San Francisco, is the promoter.
