«■ " WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Boxing Association held this week it was decided to oiler Frank Fitzjohn, of Sydney, a match with tho Canterbury feather-weight, L. Hegarty. Tho secretary was instructed to communicate with Sir. J. Br.vr, Australian representative, on the subject. It was also decided that steps be taken to secure a suitable opponent for fho local welter-weight, L. Murphy, In connection with tho Wellington championships, to be hold on June G and 7, the following officials were appointed: —Ttei'ercc, Mr. T. Sampson; official seconds, Messrs. B. Guise and W. A. Fordham; timekeepers, Messrs. A. Laurcnson and L. W. Ludwig. A conference of delegates is to bo held at Wellington at 11 a.m. on July 10—the morning of tho New Zealand championships. The- Northern Boxing Association wrote, advising that they had matched Cook and VGault'for'the New" Zealand light-weight' championship, the contest to take place on Juno 3. Numerous inquiries were received as to whether a competitor at the championships had necessarily to represent some club or association.—lt was decided to accept tho nomination of all amateurs whether competing for clubs or not,
