■ 6 . APPEAL TO CANADA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Ottawa, May 28. A United States Commissioner (Mr. Hedges) is here seeking to induce the Canadian Government not to withdraw from the Fisheries Agreement in consequence of tho United States failure to keep faith with regard to food and fishery regulations.
Tho Fisheries Agreement was dTawn up Inst year under tho Fisheries Treaty of 1908. It was to regulate the fisheries in tlte American international inland waters, but its provisions were much amended in the United States Senate that Canada announced her intention of .withdrawing completely.
