Russell, who attended a meeting of tho Hospital Board this morning, said tho Government would shortly appoint two medical inspectors— ono man and one woman—to examine tho school children throughout New Zealand, Tho appointments would probably be made within the next few weeks. It was hoped particularly to be able to detect tho first attacks of consumption, tind make a real onslaught on tho scourge. In this connection the Health _ Department was collecting the fullest information, and would issue quarterly bulletins.
