Wanganui, May 28, A serious accident occurred last night on tho Parapara Road, thirty-five .miles inland of Wanganui, Thomas O'Neill being shot in tho stomach.. He was. carried seven miles on a stretcher, and then a doctor was telephoned for. While tho doctor was operating O'Neill suceumhcd. While motoring out. at two o'clock (his morning, iv car containing Br. Wilson and two of O'Neill's brothers went over a bank at the bend oi' tho road,. 50ft. deep. All sustained a severe shaning. Jack O'Neill sustained'coufussion, and tho ear was smashed: O'Neill wns carried to a settler's house, where ho lies unconscious. There are no further particulars.
