« 'A MEMORIAL 'UNVEILED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Cosyriffht London, May 27. Mr. Arthur Henderson, M.P. for Barnard Castle Division of Durham, unveiled a public memorial to six men of Tolpuddlc, Dorsetshire, convicted at Dorset in 1833 for conspiring to bring about the betterment of wages, which were then only 7s. weekly, and who were sentenced to seven years' transportation to Botany Bay, the sentence being remitted in 1836. - The memorial adjoins the Wesleyan Chapel, at which some of the prisoners vrero ■ preachers.
