ORGAN RECITAL.

Mr. Maiigfiau Barnett (city organist) gave another of his enjoyable organ recitals at the Town Hall on Saturday evening. Among his programme itsm's were Hollins's delightful "Spring Song," an impressive "Funeral March," from the pen of Mr. Lawrence I'. Watkins (of Wellington), Karl Elert's idyll, "Clair de Hume," and a sonata from the album of Dr. Peace. The soloist for the evening was Mrs. Gower Burns (soprano), whose singing was greatly enjoyed by the audience. Her item's included a cavatina from Verdi's "11 Trovatore," Mallinson's charming "Snowflakes" song, a "Prelude" from Laiukm Ronald, and Bamberg's "Nymphs I'aunn." The singer also added, as encore numbers, "Annie Laurie," and one of Amy Woodforde Find-en's characteristic songs.
