THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME. j Boy Scout orders by Provincial Commissioner 11. S. Baldwin, published yesterday, detail the arrangements for the assembling and review of Boy Scout troops in Wellington on the occasion of the visit of Lieutenant-General Sir R. S. Baden-Powell on Wednesday next. Visiting Scout troops arriving in Wellington, if not met at the station or boat, are to proceed to the Y.M.C.A. rooms, whero they will he attended to. Officers commanding should advise District Commander If. X. M'Leod, train timed to arrive in Wellington, and report on arrival giving number of Scouts and time of proposed departure. Scout officers on trains carrying several.troops should assist by handing in a combined written report in duplicate. Staves arc to be carried, overcoats, -warm clothing, and footwear. Visiting Scouts to tiring a rug and blanket to facilitate provision of hospii tality and quartering. As a hundred ■ more Scants than estimated arc coming, accommodation for a number will be proi vided in a hall, and Scouts are asked to • make a special name for themselves in exercising their usual orderliness, tidiness, ■ quietness, and a disposition to help whenever wanted. If they so desire troops ■ may make contributions towards cx- ' penses. As troops will he in many eases 1 distributed in various homes Scouts > should be specially prompt in attendance at parades that not let hospitality ; or sightseeing cause them to forget the times for assembling. It may not be possible to give displays but huts, towers, bridges, etc., may )» built in position beforehand on the raised portion of ground, Newtown Park. Troops erecting them are responsible for their removal after tho rally, to a place to be indicated by the officer in charge of the scout parade. It is the desire of the General Officer Commanding the Forces that cadets who are Scouts or ex-Scouts shall parade in Scout ranks, in Scout uniform, cadet uniform or mufti, and take, part in the rally and the review. [ Troops will be formed in single lines of twenty-four. Scouts in charge of Scout, officers, ond grouped in battalions. The Scout rally takes the form of a wheel, the spokes being represented by troops of 2f Scouts in line. Upon a' bugle signal the lines double in to the centre, cheering and halting at a marked distance from the inspecting party. The Maori rally is. given, and 011 address delivered, the Scouts sitting. 011 the command to retire the Scouts parade, will double back to first position, and tho order will be given 1 to take position for review. The order of events is as follows:— Wednesday, May 29: 9.30 a.m.—General parade for practice at. Nesvtown Park, shelter-building, etc. Places of interest. Range above park with view of Lyall Bay, Evans Bay. Miratuar. Cook<Straits, Zoo, Newtown Museum, Fire Brigade. City Electric Power Station, Town Hall, Parson's turbine, library, printing office, ocean liner, Government Buildings, Parliament Buildings, Dominion Museum, Botanical Gardens, suburbs. 3.10 p.m.— Guard of Honour at Thormlon Station (train arrives 4.12). March to appointed place and dismiss. 4.30 p.m. Reception, Town Hall, officers and ex-officers. 7.20 p.m.—Parade at Town Hall, lecture at S. Scouts in uniform admitted free. Thursday: 0 a.m.—Parade for rally and review practice, Newtown Park. Visiting nlaces of interest. 1.30 p.m.—Assemble at upper portion of park. 2 p.m. —Take up position for rally. 2.30 p.m.— Arrival of Lieutenant-General Sir R. S. S. Baden Powell. Rally. 3 n.ni.—Review. If wet parade at Drill Hall, Bucble Street, 2 p.m. Signal flag on G.P.O. and Mount Cook (Alexandra) Barracks at 1 p.m. 7.20 p.m.—Parade at Oueen's Wharf. Farewell to the chief. 8.1.*) p.m. —Entertainment by members of Y.M.C.A.
