The by-election for South Hackney necessitated by Mr. Horatio Bottomley's resignation in conse(|uenco of his bankruptcy, resulted as follows:— Mr. Morrison (Liberal) 5359 Mr. Gibson (Unionist) 453t5 Liberal majority. 50.1 Mr. Bottomley supported the candidature of Mr. Morrison. Mr. Horatio Bottomley sat for South Hackney since IRO6. At the last general election Mr. Bottomley won by 1825 votes over the Conservative candidate.
