Ltd., report on their Levin Rock sale, held yesterday, as follows:—We had a. full yarding of both sheep and cattle, which we submitted to a large attendance of buyers from ail parts of the district, and also from tlus Wairarapa side. The Bank of Kngland rate was, on D.jcomber 1, 1310, lowered from 5 to 4* per cent.; on January 27 it was lowered" to 4 per cent., on February 16 to 3j per'cent,. acd on March 9 to 3 per cent. On September 21 it was advanced to 4 ]ier cent., on February 8 it wa3 reduced to 34 per cent., and on Hay 9 to 3 per cent. The Bank of France rate wae reduced from 3J to 3 per ojnt. on January 23, 1908, and continued at, the latter figure until September 21, 1911, when it was raised to 35 per cent. The Imperial Bank of Osrmany reduced its rate from 5 to 4J per cent, on February 6, and on February 19 the rate tras further reduced to 4 per cent.
