B'ETTER FOR THE OWNERS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrlrht Sydney, May 24. Mr. E. J. Watt, tha well-known Now Zealand sportsman, in an interview, said thero was no question that the totalisator was tetter for the owners. Under it they were able to run for larger stakes. Betting with tho bookmaker was not necessary under these circumstances, and this naturally made racing straighter than it might be otherwise. The totalisator had absolutely made racing in New Zealand.
