MR, KEIR HARDIE APPEALS FOR MERCY. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright. London, May 23. Mr. Keir Hardie, Labour member for Merthyr Tydvil, in tho House of Commons, asked for a remission of Mrs. Pethick Lawrence's and Mrs. Pankhursfs sentences and their transfer, meanwhile, to the first division, Mr. Reginald M'lCenna, Home Secretary, promised to consider the matter.
