ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Tho conference of delegates to the lederation of Labour continued its sittings yesterday moruing, Mr. P. C. Webb presiding. It was decided to receive a deputation irom (ho United Labour party at 11 o clock to-dny, and to hoar a "deputation from the New Zealand Socialist party at 2 o clock this afternoon. l'lio board of directors of tho "Maoriland Worker" presented a report mid amlucd balance-sheet, which were adopter. Both rqwrt :im! balance-sheet were considered eminently satisfactory. , 'j'ta following resolution was carried:— ln'at this conference of delegates assembled s-ends fraternal greetings to Uailii and Kceftou comrades, and congratulates them upon their exhibition of class solidarity, ami assures them of the loyalty of the organisation to them in their time of trial with opposing forces, and urges upon them to stand firm whilst the question is being dealt with by tho organisation." It was decided that Mr. J. Roberts preside at Sunday night's "rally," and that speakers be selected by the 'Standing Orders Committee. On the motion of Messrs. P. H. Hickey and ]!. Somple, the following resolution was carried enthusiastically: "That this conference of the New Zealand Federation of Labour expresses its disapproval of tho action of the British Government in gaoling Tom Mann for rightly calling upon tho British soldiers to refrain from firing upon the British workmen. To Tom Majui we extend our heartiest congratulations for the continued fearless advocacy of revolutionary working-class principles. The sentiments expressed by Tom Mann in the article leading to his arrest meet with our entire approval." The, conference rose at 5 p.m. The business in hand will probably keep delegate occupied for another w'eck.
