4 — LEAGUE GAME. WELLINGTON MEETING CALLED. Footballers, especially those interested in tho progress of the League same, will 1 be interested to hear that a meeting oi some importance is io ln> held ill Wellington this week. This meeting is being convened by Mr. 0. Oiliett, the well-known All lilaek plaver, and organiser lor the New Zealand League, who is now in I his city. The meeting will be hc'ii at (he Trades Hall on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock, and included in the bn.-mess will be the report relating to grounds, the election of officers tor the \VeUin!;ton branch, and a discussion and explanation of the League's objects. The promoters wish it stated that tho alteiidaiuo of ]'ni;by players entail? no penalty or disability in respect to their own game.
