£ AND THE BABE MAJORITY, By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Rec. May 21, 11.35 p.m.) Sydney, May 21. It is explained, on behalf of the New South Wales Alliance, that the resolution carried at the annual 'convention, cabled on May 2, referred to tlie question of approaching Parliament to demand the bare majority. Tho convention felt that the time, was not opportuno, but it emphatically adheres to the principle of the bare majority. At the annual conference of tho New South Wales Alliance, lield in Sydney on May 2, a motion in favour of amending tho Liquor Act so as to provide for a straight-out vote with a simple majority to decide was negatived by 2i votes to 13.
