A SILVER JUBILEE.

•——»- HONOUR TO ARCHBISHOP. REDWOOD. His Grace Archbishop Redwood, wh<JJ lias attained his silver jubileo as a servant! of tlio Romnn Catholic Church, is to lis fittingly honoured by a function to toko plage at the Town Hall this evening. His Graco is to kavo his residence. Hill Street, at 7.30 p.m., and escorted by tlio Hibernian Society, St. Patrick's Collega Cadets, tlio St.. Vincent Cadets; and tha Wellington Garrison and Jnpp's Bands, will proceed to tlio Wellington Town Hall. There the proceedings will taks the form of a concert, during which his Grace will bo presented with an address by tho Hibernian Society and an address purse of sovereigns by the laity of WeW lington. Admission will be free bv'j ticket, and tho hall is expected to be taxea to its uttermost capacity. On Monday evening tho children of St. Mary's Convent entertained Archbishop Redwood at a concert. During tho ovening the Sisters of Mercy presented him with a travelling case, and the children with a purse of sovereigns. Subsequently ho was entertained at supper by the Sis* ters.

Last evening a concert was given at St, Patrick's Collego in honour of his Grace. There was a large' gathering of local and visiting Catholic clergy. Tho function was a. very pleasant one indeed, and many high tributes were paid to the guest oi tile evening.
