* MONTHLY BOARD MEETING. Messrs. .T. Trevor (chairman), B. Fletcher, W. Galloway, B. C. Kirk, Geo. London, Jas. Godber, W T . Tompsitt, F. T. Moore, David Robertson, J. W r . M'Ewan, John Smith, D. M'Laren, Key. H. Van Stavoron, and Miss Richmond were present at the monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, held yesterday afternoon. The report of the Hospital Committee (vhioh was published last Friday) was confirmed. The Charitable Aid Committee recommended :—That accounts amounting to JiHGil 12«. 6d., as per schedule herewith, be passed for payment; that the Charitable Aid Superintendent's statement of accounts for tho month of April attached hereto be adopted; that having paid a special visit cf inspection to the Ohiro Home its satisfaction therewith he record*!!'. Tho report was adopted. The Finance and Property Committee recommended:—That the accounts for the mrr.if.h be passed for payment as follows:—Wellington Hcspital, i' 3013 16s. 7<1.; charitable aid and Ohiro Home, £369 12s. 6d.; Ofaki Hospital and Sanatorium, £26] 2s. 3d.; head office and public health, .£l6O 3s. 2d.; total, .63804 14s. fid. The report was adopted. The Public Health Committee reported:— (1) That railway passes have been issued by the Department to .Inspector Keed, Thorntk-n to Levin, and Inspector Hoskins, Lambton to Hutt. (2) That during four weeks ended May 10 the he.illh inspectors report:—2B disinfections, 30 investigations, G3 sanitary inspections, 40 revisits. (3) That the following ct\«es have been reported •—Scarlet fever, 13 cases; diphtheria, 9 cases; tuberculosis, 4 cases; enteric fever, 4 cases. (4) That the following places have been visited:—Lower nntt, 10; Petone, 9; Miramar, 7; Ngahatiranga, 5; Seatoun, 2; Karori, 2; Otaki, 2; Te Horo, 2; .lohusonvilie, 2; Levin, 1. The report was adopted.
