ROSE AND CARNATION CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual-meeting of the Wollisurton Ko-o and Carnation Club was bold in tiodber's rooms last evening. The rHiring president, Dr. Izurd, was in the choir. The business included the adoption of the annual balance-sheet, which, shoved an escess of assets over liabilities amounting to £U 2s. 7d.; with a total expenditure lor the year ending April 30, 3912, of £U9 10s. id.
At tho conclusion of the mooting a vot« of thanks was tendered to Dr. lsard, and regret expressed that ho was unable to stand for election again. Dr. Izard, in reply, staled that lie was of opinion that the'position of president was one that should not be held for any lenslh of lime by the Mine person. Ho thought that others should have the honour in turn.
The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, his Kxcei'oney Lord Islington; president, lir. J. B. liarcotirt; vicepresidents Mrs. A. Von roe, Mrs. Gore, Messrs. G. l'cinington; \V. Hourkc. C. Tringhani, and A. Laurenson: management committee, Messrs. W. .1. Thompson, A. Richards. H. llaillie, \V. A. Read, T. Hood, .r. .1. Kerslake, and S. Pearce; treasurer, Mr. G. .lofTory; auditor. Mr. C. 11. Mai thews; joint secretaries, Messrs. Fox find lord.
