CRIMINAL SESSIONS.
(By Telegraph—l'resa Association.) Auckland, May 20. The criminal sil tines of the Supremo Court opened to-dav, before Mr. Justice Sim. His Honour staled that the calendar Va* not a verv heavy one for Auckland. It comprised 27 charges, against il.'i persons, none of which presented any unnsuAllv difficulty. The Grand Jury brought 'in true bills in all cases. For Ijienking and enlerlng n yonth named John l.iivett was sentenced to twelve ninnlhs' imprisonment. William Mou-l.-ignn Davenport Howes, | ur indecent nssaull, was sent In gaol for seven years. The prisoner is an elderly man.
