The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile A"enc.v Co. (Daunovirko branch), report At our fortnightly sale at Dannevirke on Friday we had a full yarding of both sheep and cattle. At the opening of the ■=ale competition for sheep was dull, hut a distinct improvement was noticeable, especially for good sound-mouthed forward ewes, as the sale progressed, and we have to report practically a total clearance. Wc disposed of the whole of our entry of catl/lc at satisfactory priccs:-bheep: Fat p\vf>s prime, 6ri.; Ttiocuu.n, Hp. (ct.; forward cwo?, Us. Id.. 10?. tta., 10?, 10a., 10s. Ed.; cull ewes, ss. od„ 4s. 9d.: mixed 2-tooth?. lis. 5a.; 2-tooth wethers, 13s. 4d.; mixed lambs, 7s. 6d. Cattle: Heifers in ralf £3 17s. 6d.; dairy cows, to ±3 155.: fat'cows, to £4 65.; store cows, £2 125., £2 10«., £2; vreaner heifers. 30c.
