'9 - Mr. Edward Branscombe needs little introduction to Wellington theatregoers. He came some time ago with the Vi estminstor Gleo Party, and later with the "Scarlet Troubadors." It was ho who brought Sousa'a Band to Australasia. 1 or tonic time now Mr. Branscombe's costume comedy company, "The Dandies," has bt-en achieving success in Australia. They had a good season at Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and T'orth, and Mr. Branscombe belie,yes that Wellington is Teady to support this class of entertainment. "J.ho Dandies" will open in the Concert Chamber of tho 'town Mali on Saturilav next, May 25. and appear nightly during tho winter months, '"lho Dandies" have been chosen for their versatility, freshness, and original touch. The combination will arrive in "Wellington on Wednesday next from Sydney, and tho management will postpone the opening, which was originally announced for May 23, till Saturday next, May 25. The box plan will be opened at the Dresden on Wednesday next at 9 a.m.
