Bradbury, whoso body was foimd with a gim beside it In a paddock at Hnlcombo, went to show that deceased had indicated to several people his intention to commit suicide, He had also made several statements about attempts having been mado to rob and burn down the offices of the Halcombe Town Board, of which body he was town clerk. Investigations mode by the noiico failed to confirm these statements. The police examined tho Town Board s books,' and it was found that receipts for X 37 ss. 6d. had been issued to various people since March last, but no payment* appeared to have been lodged itt the bank. , ~ A verdict of suicide whilst, temporarily insane was returned by the jury.
