TRAINING SCHOOL FOR WAITERS.
Plans are now complete for the London County Council's most novel departure— tile creation of waiters with technical training. Jn n few weeks tho County Council will open in Westminster a novel training school for waiters. A professional instructor is being appointed ou u comfortable salary, and twelve scholarships are being offered for immediate competition. The instructor will be a linguist and, the candidates will have to show some skill in freehand and object drawing, besides a knowledge ol' the usual elementary subjects. The. experiment is being followed with considerable interest by ilia managements of the great hotels in the heart of London, who are anxious to secure English -waiters providing they can attain (he modem standard—tho standard of a waiter who does not wait. At present some scepticism exists as to tho success of the venture.
