Regulations in connection with the universal training scheme, under which the first batch of 10,000 senior cadets will be drafted to tho military forces on July 1, have been published. These also cover the reorganisation of the existing infantry, and light horse brigades in the National Regiments. English, Scottish, Irish and various States units will disappear, the members being embodied in the forces of the newly-created battalion areas. Provision is made for tho immediate creation of four new battories of field artillery.
