A meeting of the Wellington Rugby Referees' Association was held last night, Mr. D. JfKenzie presiding. A complaint was received from tho Rugby Union to the effect that improper language had been used in a match on the College ground, but neither the name of the referee nor tho match was mentioned. It was decided that the association should do all in its power to assist the union in suppressing bad language in matches. Mr. A. Anton was elected a member of the: association. HOUSE match:. The annual Rngby match between tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Dalgety and Co., Ltd., will take place at Anderson's Park on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. The following arc the respective teams: — New Zealand Loan Company.—Shorney, Hatchings, Bass, Evans, Tiller, Capper, Mandcrson, lluldoon. SECEDE FROM ENGLAND? (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Duncdin, May 13. At a meeting of the management committee of the Otago Rugby Union, it was decided to instruct its delegates to tho New Zealand Union to support tho Hawko's Bay proposal in favour of secession from the English Union.
