The employees of forty-seven railroads west and south of Chicago are taking a ballot as to whether they will strike in sympathy with tho men on tho Barriinan lines. There has been only one award in five weeks under tike Conciliation Act. In only seven of twenty-one districts tho parties agreed in the selecting of a chairman; the Board of Trade appointed tho remainder. There is anxiety respecting the outlook.
