MEETING OF POLICYHOLDERS. SALARY SCALE INCREASED, By Telegraph-Press ABSOciation-Copyrigiit. (Bee. May 11, 0.40 a.m.) Sydney, May 10. At the annual meeting of the A.M.P. Society, tho chairman slated that the continued prosperity of Australia and Now- .Zealand was strongly reflected in tho report, and in all probability tho accumulated funds would touch the thirty-million mark by the end of the current year. The operations of the recent Incometax Act afford tho society considerable Tβlief in New South Wales. The society had been compelled to recognise the increased cost of IMng, and had brought into operation a more liberal salary scale, oonaiderably adding to the j expenses. The pleasing features of the past year were the reduction of the amount paid in surrender values and the enm disbursed in cash bonuses. Mr. Joseph Joseph, tho New Zealand representative, stated that the business in- the Dominion showed continued advancement. '- i i ■ -1 'j
