MINIMUM WAGES FOR MINISTERS. By Teleeraph—Press Association-Copyright Sydney, May 9. The Presbyterian Assembly adopted a resolution in favour of an effort being made to secure a stipend of .£3OO and a manse for all ministers. Thero are complaints thnt many ministers are underpaid. Tho cost of living during the past five years has advanced by thirty to forty per centum, but ministers' salaries have not improved. The report showed there was a great dearth of candidates for tho ministry.
