POTATO EXPORT TRADE.
Dunedin, May 8. Mr. T. W. Kirk, of the Department of Agriculture, explained to representatives of the leading potato merchants to-dny the difficulties in regard to the export, of potatoes to Australia. He said the Department was doing all it conld to obtain n relaxation of the conditions, but regulations imposed by the Commonwealth must 1)0 adhered to.
