I3WEPT OFF ROOFS OF HOUSES. By Telegraph—PreES Association—CooyrlEbt Washington, May 6. Flood reports from Torras grow in gravity. People were swept off roofs of houses, the water exceeding the height of tho telegraph poles. Several persons were rescued afloat on wooden houses. A thousand are known to be homeless in one district.
