One referee drew attention to the fact that four players had their clothes rifled at the Keilmrno Park on Saturday last. It was decided to re-port the matter to the Rugby Union.

CHAMPIONSHIPS HERE. (Br Te!cEraDh—Press Association.) Christchurch, May G. The Xew Zealand Boxing Council has re-elected Sir Joseph Yvard patron and Mr. W. G. Atack .secretary. The balance-sheet showed a credit of .£lO4. The coimcil had a long discussion on the question raised by the Hawke's Bay and Greyniouth Associations. The lattor, with the council's sanction, arranged a match between Mitchell and Ireland for May 18 for the heavy-weight'champion-ship. Subsequently the council was informed that tho Hawke's Bay Association had matched Mitchell and Ireland for April 30. At the council's request the Greyniouth Association gave way, and it was" now decided to call on Mitchell for mi explanation of his statement that ho had not made arrangements with the Grevmouth Association, and also to submit a full statement of the ease (o the affiliated bodies, with a request that they strictly ve«poct. one another's engagements.
