Following tho advance that has occurred during the last year or two in the prices of articles and lines sn everyday use and consumption, further increases in the prices of general groceries are probable, and, in some instances, cortaiu. A reporter, during the course of inquiries, learned from one of the largest wholesale distributors in tho eitv that tho prices are now finely out. Grocery lines are bound to advance vory shortly. After a careful calculation it has been ascertained that tho wholesale importers' business costs at least 11 per cent, moro to run now than was the caso two or tln-ee years ago.
