Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, report as follows on their usun-l fortnightly stock sale hold at the Upper Ilutt yesterday:—There was only a, fair yarding of sheep, as, owing to the inclement weather, entries did not come forward <is advertised, but we had an excellent yarding of cattle. Bidding was very animated throughout the sale, especially for a line of dairy cattle, which we offered on behalf of a Hawera client. .We disposed of everything cxccpt one pen of rattle at satisfactory prio?s. Following prices were realised F.m. ewes, 6s. 3d.; woolly lambs (amaH), ss. 6d.; forward wethers, two and four-tooth, 12*. lOd.; cows, just calved, £6 55., £10. to £10 12>. 6d.; springing cows. £6 10s., £8. to £9 155.; cows, spring calvers, £4 9s. 6d. to £6 15.5.; dairy "heifers, in calf, £5, £5 Bs. 6d., £6 Is., to £7 12s. 6d.: heifers, Fpring ealvors, £3 45., £4 25.. to £4 18s. 6d.; forward store cows, £3 2s. 6d. to £4 12s. 6d.; two-year steers, £4 2?.; fifteen-month stcors, £2 16s. A number of horses were also sold. Messrs. Dalgety o.nd Co., 'Ltd., Falraerston North, report having a very good entry of stock at their Hunterville sale on Tuesday last, though, owing to the extremely rough weather, several of the advertised lots did Jiot come forward. There was <i Jsecn demand for all classes of sheep, but several pens of cattle were passed -at auction. Sheep: Msdium wether lambs, to Bs. Id.; empty ewes, to 9s. 4d.; ewe lambs, to 10s. Cd.: fat ewes, 135.; a, line of 310 two-tooth empty ewes realised 14s. Cattle: Twentymonths to two-year steers, to £4; two-year steers, to £4'9s.

Messrs. .7amc3 Macintosh and Co. report on their Waipoiia- sale on Wednesday as follows:—Wc had a fair yarding of sheep end about 100 head of cattle. All sheep met with kmn demand and were all disposed of under the hammer. Cattle of alt -classes were yarded, and were more dull of sate than lately, but any lines passed at auction were daalt with privately afterwards. The following are some of the prices realised:—Fat and forward lambs, lis. 4d.: forward black face lambs. 8?. 6d. to 9s. Id.; woolly lambs. Bs. Bd.; forward empty ewe?, Ps. 2d., 9>.. 10s., to lis. 7d.: f.m. ewes.
