SHANNON ITEMS.
At a meeting of members of the Mechanics' Institute, at which Mr. T, Lind presided, tho following were elected office-bearers for tho coining season:— i'resident, Mr. T. Lind; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. H. Gardiner; committee. Messrs, J. G. Barclay, Martin, UoulIhoe, Quarrie, and White. Mr. G. N. Stephenson was elected vice-president. Mr. and Mrs. M. Moyuilnin are on a visit to Auckland. Mr. .T. Robertson, M.P., addressed a meeting at Tokomaru on Wednesday night. ______
