(By Teleerapk.-Special Corre^poudent.) Wanganui, April 30. At'the annual meeting of the- Vi anganui Beautifying Society, Jlr. A. Hatriclc was re-elected president, Mr. ]•'. J. Walker lion, secretary, ami Mr. C. (.loldflmry lion, treasurer. The annual report wasinainly a review of Ihe past year's operations. It showed that the finances were in a strong position , , due chiefly to the liberality of public support. Over 6000 ornamental trees and shrubs were raised in the society's nurseries last year, ami for. tlio next planting season anoilser 500 ft ;:>e ready. the main society there are five suburban b'ranehes all dainj; excellent work. It was decided to give these representation on tlio main coinmittee.
