TYPOGRAPHICAL UNION.

At the quarterly meeting of the Wellington Tvpograpiiical Union, held,at the Oddfellow's Hall, on Saturday evening, the following resolution was passed in silence:—"That this union places on record its appreciation of the services rendered to this'union by the late Mr. D. P. Fisher, and expresses a sincere sense of its loss occasioned through his demise." Tho president remarked it was fitting that such a resolution should be adopted at the first meeting of members of tho union after the death of one who had been one of the union's best executive officers, having occupied the positions of president and secretary, and also represented the union on the Trades and Labour Council, and other Labour bodies.

Tho following resolution was passed at the quarterly meeting of members of tho Wellington Typographical Union, which was held at the Oddfellows] Hall on Saturday evening:—"That this union expresses its .sincere regret at the wreck of the Titanic, and the sad loss of life occasioned thereby."

The union was formed on Saturday, July %, 1802. The brochure will contain the photographs of as many past presidents and secretaries as it is possible to secure, the members' of tho present board of management, etc. In addition to publishing the brochure, the union decided last Saturday evening further to colebrato the occasion by having; a dinner on July 27 next.
