In the last Parliament the figures were, respectively, 41, 26, and 5.

The most noticeable feature of the election was tie Labourites sweeping the Metropolitan area, the centre of the lato strike. -Brisbane North and Brisbane each voted Labour for the first time by majorities of thirty-seven and fifty-five respectively.

The Darling Downs' group is more strongly Liberal than even before the redistribution of electorates.

At Charters Towers, hitherto unassailable as a Labour stronghold, the poll has resulted in the dismissal of one Labourite.

Mr. Denham, Premier, in an interview as to the result of the elections, said that Queensland had declared for industrial peace and Parliamentary Government.
