Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their stoeksale, held at Levin yesterday, as follows:—We had a fair yarding of "both sheep and cattle. Owing to the rough weather prevailing previous to the sale some of the stock advertised did not turn up. We sold most of the stock under the hammer, and the balance privately after tho sale. Sheep: Fat ewes, to lis.store ewes to Es. lid.; woolly lambs to 9s. Cattle: Fat cows, £4 17s. 6d. to' £5 12s. 6d.; springing cows, £5 to £9; cows and calves, low conditioned, 365.; eight-cen-months steers, to £3 Bs.; two-year steers, to £3 16s. 6d.; wco.ners, 375.; store cows' to £3 25.; Jersey bull, £2 9s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report:—At Levin yesterday good entries of sheep and cattle came forward. There was a large attendance of buyers, and keen competition for most lots offered, and we have to report a successful sale. Fat bullocks, £8 165.; light fat bullocks, £7 19s • forward bullocks, £6 16s. to £7 9s. A nice line of 72 bullocks (sold on account of Mr" C. F. Johnston, Foxton) realised £6 15s. 6d.; fat cows, £5 to £5 10s.; forward cows £3 10s. to £4 Es.; store co'.vs. Ms. to £2 1557; two ond a half-year steers, £5 25.; eighteenmonths steers, £S 65.; yearling Jersey heifers, £2 10s.; mixed weaners, 225! 6d. to 315.; fat wethers, 15s. 3d.; forward wethers. 13s. to 14s. 5d.; store wethers, lis. lid.; small two-tooth wethers. 10s.; fat and forward ewes, 10s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report:—At our Levin sale yesterday we ottered a fair yarding of stock to a full representation of buyers, and were able to make a- clearance of entries at satisfactory prices. Dairy cows were in demand, and anything good met a ready sale. We sold fat and forward cows (it £4 10s., £5, £5 ss. to £5 165.; cmpty store co'.vs, from £4 to £4 7s. 6d.; dairy cows (spring calvers), from £4 10s. to .£5 55.: yearling heifers, to £2 10s.; weaner heifers, to 335.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Ajrency Company, Ltd., (Feildinsi branch), report for week ending April 26 as follows: —At, Fcildinp: on Friday we had a fail oiltry of sheep and a (rood yarding: of cattle.
