Y.M.C.A. OLD BOYS.

On Thursday .night a concert was given by members of the Old Boys' Club in tho Y.JI.C.A. Assembly Hall, which was crowded to its utmost, neArly' 300 people being present. The programme included musical items and songs. Two Shakespearean dialogues were given, tho young performers taking their part with credit. Several choruses wcro also sung by members of tho club. Great amusemont was caused when about half a dozen boys illustrated what was entitled "The First Parade." The Nigger Minstrels also put on a good performance. Mr. B. Nimmo gave a song, entitled "The Irish Orchestra," and Mr. K. Sherney recited "Wolsey's Farewell to Cromwell." During the ovening Mr. E. Parton spoke m reference to the purpose of the club, mentioning that it was a link between the Boys' Department and the Senior Department, and thus a safeguard for young men at a critical time. Before closing, he made mention of the help rendered to tho club by the chairman (Mr. F. C. Atkinson). Ho asked Mr. Atkinson to accept a small presentation, which took tho form of a brief bag. Mr. Atkinson replied in a few words, saying that if he could d» anything for tho young fellows of the city ho was always happy to do it, and that was the purpose of his being interested in the Old Boys' Club.
