Ah exceedingly interesting relic of Sir George Grey's adventurous career has been presented to the city, through the Mayor, by Mrs. Seymour Tliorne George, who is a niece ef the great Pro-consul. The trophy consists of tho head of ono of the spears with which Sir . George Grey (then Mr. George Grey) was wounded in an encounter with Natives on tho Glenelg River, North-West Australia, 011 February 11, 1838. Tho gift has been suitably acknowledged by the Mayor, who has undertaken to seo that it' is preserved among the unique collection of curios in the Grey collection.
